Mission Technologies, a division of HII, Newport News is seeking an Engineering Technician 2 to support CVN 75 Combat Systems/Electronics Work Control for the RCOH program. The role is onsite in Norfolk and Newport News with backshift coverage.

You will assist engineers by handling data, preparing drawings and diagrams, and performing analyses to support system readiness. A nuclear/naval background and a SECRET clearance are required.

Qualifikationen

• Associates degree or 2-year technical degree with 1 year related experience, or HS diploma with 3 years DoD/USN experience.
• Must have prior operational or maintenance experience on nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, specifically combat systems or weapons control.
• Must have shipyard or military experience.
• Experience with Navy Work Authorization Forms (WAFs) and tag-outs using eSOMS or E-Tag System.
• Able to work in a shipboard environment during a major availability.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
• Active SECRET security clearance is required.

Aufgaben

• Provide technical support to engineers across a range of tasks and compile engineering data.
• Produce engineering documentation and reports including drawings, flow charts, and schematics.
• Perform calculations and data analyses to support trajectory adequacy and dimensional consistency.
