Job summary

Hanwha Philly Shipyard seeks an experienced Dockmaster to plan and execute docking, undocking, and vessel movements across our waterfront facilities. You will provide operational leadership during all critical phases of dockings and work with navy representatives to ensure NAVSEA readiness.

The role requires strong leadership, safety oversight, and the ability to coordinate multiple departments and marine-service resources to keep schedules and safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of progressively responsible shipyard, dry dock, or marine operations experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years NAVSEA/U.S. Navy docking and undocking experience in a senior docking role.
• Experience reading vessel drawings, docking plans, and related technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate docking and undocking operations for commercial, government, and other vessels.
• Provide operational leadership during critical phases of docking evolutions.
• Coordinate vessel movements between drydocks, piers, berthing areas, and other waterfront facilities.
• Lead waterfront support, tug coordination, line handlers, and marine-service requirements.
• Maintain safety oversight and ensure compliance with HPSI procedures and regulations.
• Support NAVSEA docking readiness and development of docking program.
