Job summary

Hanwha Philly Shipyard, Inc. seeks a Dockmaster & Waterfront Operations Leader to plan, coordinate, and execute vessel docking and undocking, berthing, drydock operations, and related waterfront activities at the Philadelphia yard.

The role requires extensive NAVSEA docking experience, strong leadership, risk management, and the ability to coordinate across Engineering, Planning, HSE, and outside contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations and readiness for Navy programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years in shipyard, dry dock, or marine operations preferred.
• Minimum five years NAVSEA/U.S. Navy docking/undocking experience.
• Experience reading vessel drawings, docking plans, and related technical docs.
• Strong leadership and decision-making during time-critical operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate docking and undocking operations for commercial, government, and other vessels.
• Coordinate vessel movements between drydocks, piers, berthing areas, and construction zones.
• Lead waterfront teams and resources; ensure safety, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Review docking plans, hydrostatic information, and technical documentation for NAVSEA readiness.
• Coordinate with multiple departments and external contractors during evolutions.
