Job Description
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Maritime and Intelligence Systems (M&IS) seeks a Navigation Engineer to deliver best solutions for today's complex undersea engineering challenges. Products range from Autonomous Extra-Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (XLUUVs) to unique Integrated underwater solutions. We work for a variety of customers and on a variety of precision Position Navigation and Timing development efforts.
Position Responsibilities:
To meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite in Herndon, VA.
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.
This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
This position is contingent on clearance verification and customer concurrence.

Typical Education & Experience:
Experienced (level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Lead (level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range:
Experienced (level 3): 108,800 – $147,200
Lead (level 4): 135,150 – $182,850
