Job summary

Continental Tide Defense Systems, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic II to join our Fleet Services Group in Norfolk, VA. You will work aboard U.S.

Navy and commercial vessels to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex electrical systems in a maritime environment. Prior shipboard electrical experience, especially with NAVSEA-related work, is highly desirable. The role requires reading schematics, performing inspections, and coordinating with supervisors to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets simple schematics and blueprints.
• Familiar with NAVSEA concepts, practices and procedures for basic electrical repair and installation.
• Able to understand and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in removal, repair, modification and installation of machinery on maritime vessels.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using manuals and drawings.
• Ensure systems meet safety and operation standards before turnover.
• Read blueprints and technical documents and maintain repair records.
• Collaborate with team members to support production schedules.
