Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. seeks an Assistant Engineer for the RSC at NBPL to manage daily deck operations on vessels. The role requires living within an hour of Point Loma and possessing a MMC with QMED endorsement.

Responsibilities include supervising deck crews, performing exterior maintenance, maintaining inventory, and conducting equipment inspections under varied sea conditions. Overtime and on-call duties apply.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of previous experience as an engineering department crewmember on vessels with diesel propulsion (five years preferred).
• Knowledge of marine electrical systems is preferred.
• USCG Merchant Mariner Document endorsement and a valid medical certificate are required.

• Reports to vessel Captain/Mate.
• Manages daily deck operations.
• Performs exterior maintenance.
• Directs deckhands in daily duties.
• Maintains inventory of onboard deck maintenance supplies.
• Executes equipment inspections as needed.
