MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Science & Research Analyst to join our team in Silverdale, WA. This onsite role involves applying advanced math and physics to simulate underwater acoustic energy impacting Navy submarine stealth and survivability.

The candidate will develop predictive models, build automated tools using MATLAB and Python, and lead multidisciplinary teams while interfacing with Navy sponsors and delivering high-level technical briefings.

Qualifications

• MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Physics, or Mathematics.
• 4+ years in technical research, engineering analysis, or data modeling.
• Strong coding skills in MATLAB and Python; familiarity with Linux, Docker/Podman, GitHub.
• Experience leading teams or projects with customer/sponsor management.

Responsibilities

• Apply math and physics to simulate underwater acoustic energy for Navy submarines.
• Develop predictive models for energy propagation, far-field signatures, and detection boundaries.
• Build automated tools and analyze high-volume sensor data with MATLAB and Python.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and align milestones with sponsor requirements.
• Present findings to leadership and generate technical evaluation documents.
• Support VV&A tasks for acoustic modeling and simulation.
