Job summary

EnErgo Recruitment is seeking an Acoustic Engineer to turn raw hydrophone data into realtime tactical intelligence for maritime platforms. You will design hydrophone arrays and implement localization algorithms to support high-speed underwater operations.

Proficiency in DSP and data analysis (Python/MATLAB) is essential, with experience in underwater communication protocols as a plus. The role emphasizes fast iteration and sea-trial validation.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of sonar equations, multipath, and acoustic impedance.
• Ability to translate physics into actionable hardware/software requirements.
• Experience with real-time signal processing and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy rugged hydrophone arrays for real-time data capture.
• Implement TDOA and beamforming to localize targets in real time.
• Develop models to classify acoustic signatures amidst high noise.
• Collaborate with propulsion and electronics teams to validate at-sea.
