Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Groton, CT is seeking a technical professional to support installation, test and maintenance of the Columbia Class Navy ballistic missile submarines. You will work with government contractors and crews on installation tasks and submarine systems integration.

The role involves training and familiarization of the Navigation subsystem, coordinating frequent customer and leadership meetings, and periodic travel including TDY assignments to CT and RI sites.

Qualifications

• Technical degree and/or education to support next generation submarine programs.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
• Communication and project management skills to support status reporting and customer meetings.
• Develop and review test documentation and procedures.
• Experience system level testing and troubleshooting.
• Must be willing/able to travel up to 25% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, test and maintenance of the Columbia Class submarines.
• Collaborate with government contractors and crews on installation and test, submarine tasks.
• Support training and familiarization of the Navigation subsystem.
• Coordinate frequent communications/meetings with the customer and leadership.
• Assignment will include TDY to Electric Boat Shipyard in Groton, CT and Quonset Point, RI.
