Job summary

Prism Maritime seeks Installation Technician I–IV to perform installation tasks aboard naval vessels in Chesapeake, VA. You will handle cableways, wiring, racks, and HV/lighting components, with occasional overtime and travel outside the local area. Training ranges from high school or GED to advanced certificates, with apprenticeship and/or 1+ year related experience.

U.S. citizenship preferred. Candidates must lift up to 50 pounds, work in loud environments, and follow safety and quality

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of NAVSEA installation processes.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools.
• Lift/move up to 50 pounds as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Open/close cableways, cable trunks, and multi cable transits; move materials/tools; stand fire watch.
• Familiar with removal and installation of HVAC, cabling, equipment racks, lighting, and connectors.
• Provide installation assistance during SOVT; travel outside local area may be required.
