Job summary
Prism Maritime, LLC is seeking Field Engineer I or II to support on naval vessel projects in Chesapeake, VA. The role applies electronics knowledge across design, analysis, evaluation, and technical reporting, with senior technical support to the Project Manager in task leadership, material procurement, testing, and installation oversight.
You may lead installation design, develop manuals, and address equipment failures.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED may be required depending on contract stipulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or related field preferred.
- Non-degreed personnel must have extensive field experience in installation, testing, and repair.
Responsibilities
- Lead subordinates when required and assist in Installation Design Packages.
- Identify problem areas and prepare corrective reports and change orders.
- Assist in development of technical manuals and specifications for systems and equipment.
- Identify, analyze, and correct causes of equipment failures and perform testing.
- Provide technical support on installation, and conducts pre/post installation testing.
- Produce project status reports including EVM metrics.
- Perform audits/inspections for safety and quality.
