Job summary

GreenXT is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support surface ships for HM&E systems within NSWCPD. The role covers lifecycle management, technical data, and on-site installations/alterations to ensure mission readiness.

The ideal candidate has a DoD Secret clearance and 3+ years’ experience with Navy ship auxiliary systems, AC/R, and associated equipment, plus the ability to work in shipyards and confined spaces.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Active DoD Secret level security clearance is required.
• Experience with Navy ship auxiliary systems including AC/R, HES-C, and related components.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-service engineering for AC/R, Auxiliary, and related ship systems.
• Support testing, procedures, and on-site coordination for MACHALTs and SCDs.
• Review designs and drawings, identify discrepancies and interferences.
• Support NSWCPD System Engineering Program activities and SEP tools.
• Perform pre- and post-installation ship checks to verify drawings.
• Assist with training, data management, and equipment maintenance.
