Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (HII) Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a Project Manager to oversee ongoing programs, coordinate planning and execution, and report on progress and budgets.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of progressive experience, or a Master’s with 4 years, with equivalent qualifications considered. The position emphasizes liaison among project teams, line management, and clients to resolve issues and ensure productive outcomes.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
• Equivalents may meet minimum qualifications: Associate's Degree with 2 years of relevant exempt or 4 years non-exempt experience; Military Paygrade E-5 or above; High School/GED with 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or equivalent; High School/GED with 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or equivalent

Responsabilidades

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
