Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (HII) Newport News Shipbuilding seeks a Program Manager to oversee the operational aspects of ongoing projects and to act as a liaison between project management, planning, the project team, and line management.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of exempt experience or a Master’s Degree with 4 years of relevant experience, plus possible equivalencies. Travel up to 10% is required; relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
• One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: Associate's Degree or 2 year program with experience; Military Paygrade E-5 or above; High School/GED with 4 years of related exempt experience; High School/GED with 8 years related experience

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
