Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. Newport News Shipbuilding seeks a Prod Planning and Scheduler 2 to plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules, coordinating material requirements to meet production needs.

You will advise management on work in progress, material availability and potential production problems, schedule equipment and personnel, and generate work orders based on the master production schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s with 1 year
• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• NNPS graduate
• Associate's Degree with 2 years experience or 4 years non-exempt
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above
• High School/GED with 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
• High School/GED with 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activity and material requirements to meet production needs.
• Advises management on status of work in progress, material availability and potential production problems.
• Schedules equipment and personnel, prepares work orders or purchase requests based on the master production schedule.
