Job summary

Noblis is seeking an Engineering Technician based in Norfolk, VA to support U.S. Navy machinery control and shipboard systems on Arleigh Burke-class destroyers.

The role is primarily onsite with occasional remote work during downtime; duties include waterfront support, installation, testing, V&V, and liaison with Philadelphia technical leads. Qualified candidates will have a High School/GED (or higher) with 6+ years in industrial control and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED or higher with relevant experience in industrial control environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot control systems.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot machinery control systems aboard Navy ships using test equipment and schematics.
  • Provide shipboard test and V&V support for fielded systems.
  • Support installation, checkout, and testing of MCS hardware and software on ships.
