Job summary

Noblis is hiring a Field Support Technician in Philadelphia, PA to provide engineering, technical, logistics, and obsolescence support for U.S. Navy Surface Ships, both in-service and new construction. You will assist HM&E Combat Support Systems and support equipment installation and testing at LBES and shipboard.

The role requires a STEM bachelor's or equivalent experience, U.S. citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one, and travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, or 6+ years' experience as an electrical/field technician in an industrial setting may substitute for degree.
• US Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain clearance and US citizenship
• Must have a valid US passport or ability to obtain one upon position acceptance
• Ability to travel 20–30% of the time

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot control systems using documentation and schematics.
• Provide test support for all fielded system variants shipboard and at LBES.
• Accompany engineers or support at OEM/Test facilities for testing.
• Provide shipboard software/hardware installation support for fielded systems.
• Provide regular documented status updates and liaise between shipboard teams and Philadelphia leads.
