Job summary

Q.E.D. Systems Inc. in Hawaii seeks a Planner/Estimator for Technical Services to support estimates, proposals and planning documents for ship repair projects. You will report to the Hawaii Area Manager and collaborate with multiple managers.

The role requires experience estimating ship repairs, reading specifications, and applying NAVSEA standards for labor and material estimates. Proficiency in Excel and Project, plus DBIDS eligibility, is expected. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years marine industry estimating costs for shipboard work.
• Experience with MSC ships, USCG cutters and/or US Army watercraft.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings; develop labor and material estimates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates, proposals and planning documents for Navy ship repair projects.
• Conduct ship checks aboard ships and ensure safety and quality requirements.
• Support Hawaii Area Manager and other managers in a dynamic work environment.
