Job summary

ORBIS Inc. seeks a Waterfront Ship Manager Representative (SMR) Senior Engineering Technician IV for NSWCPD in Philadelphia. The role bridges engineering oversight with waterfront execution for U.S. Navy ship modernization and maintenance programs.

You will work with NSWCPD program managers and ISEAs to ensure materials meet LOA requirements, verify deliveries, coordinate tests, and manage spares during testing, with a focus on safety and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in HM&E maintenance, testing and repair on US Navy ships/subs.
• Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Physically verifies material delivery to shipyard and tracks missing items.
• Coordinate NSWCPD test procedures across codes with shipyard test management.
• Prepare and submit weekly waterfront status reports on test progress and personnel availability.
• Coordinate SPIRs and ensure timely data entry and resolution tracking.
• Manage installation and checkout (INCO) spares during testing.
• Provide weekly INCO status reports and power coordination for shipboard work.
• Monitor delays or changes from production entities to the NSWCPD program office.
