Job summary

Thunderbolt Solutions is seeking a Maintainability Engineer to drive RM&A data collection and analysis for the Aegis Weapon System (AWS) and Operational Readiness Test System (ORTS) across Navy platforms.

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, DoD Secret clearance eligibility, and AWS/ORTS familiarity. You will coordinate with ISEAs, prepare reports, and travel to land-based and shipboard sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or higher.
• Background in Aegis Weapon System (AWS) and Operational Readiness Test System (ORTS).
• Possess or be eligible for DoD Secret clearance.
• Able to visit U.S. Navy ships/vessels.
• Strong MS Office skills and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Actively support maintainability testing and fault list development with ISEAs.
• Coordinate data collection and analysis for land-based and shipboard testing.
• Prepare RM&A reports and SITREPs for programs.
• Lead presentations and participate in working groups with military and civilian staff.
• Travel 20-30% for on-site shipboard and land-based work.
