Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead PORTS program efforts supporting US Surface Navy training systems. You will coordinate between Program Manager, Customer, and technical teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with quality and compliance to DoD standards.

The role requires a US citizen, DoD Secret clearance eligibility, and at least 5 years of management experience, including P&L. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with software development projects.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects
