Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an HVAC Engineer to support the design, testing, and integration of a large-scale naval training simulator. This on-site role is located in Orlando, FL and focuses on leading HVAC system design for a complex ship simulation platform.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of HVAC experience, a PE license (Mechanical preferred), and proficiency with SolidWorks and Revit. Travel up to 30% during construction and deployment is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years HVAC engineering experience focused on design, testing, and integration.
• CAD design experience with SolidWorks and/or Revit.
• PE license (Mechanical preferred) with strong HVAC design background.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards; CHD certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering; substantial related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to travel up to ~30% during construction and deployment phases.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC and chilled water systems for a large-scale naval training simulator environment.
• Perform HVAC engineering analysis, testing, validation, and system integration activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and models using CAD tools, including SolidWorks and/or Revit.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support manufacturing, assembly, deployment, and installation efforts.
• Support system startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and final integration activities during construction and deployment phases.
