Job summary

JSL Technologies, Inc. is recruiting a Naval GWS In-Service Engineer in Port Hueneme, CA. You will bridge lab testing and shipboard operations, ensuring system reliability and implementing design alterations across the lifecycle of Navy Gun Weapon Systems.

The role demands active DoD clearance eligibility, strong technical writing, and hands-on troubleshooting. Travel to vessels and test sites is expected as part of program execution and support.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD clearance.
• Experience with Navy combat systems, preferably MK 34 or MK 48.
• Willingness to travel periodically for shipboard tech support and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and execute hardware/software validation at SWEF and onboard vessels.
• Provide remote and shipboard troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Draft ECPs, OrdAlts, and ShipAlts to improve performance.
• Mitigate DMSMS by researching replacement components.
• Create and update ICDs, PMS docs, and formal test reports.
• Support quality reviews and manage equipment movement for tests.
