Job summary

Amentum in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Planner to support the site’s maintenance planning and scheduling activities at Mayport under a government contract.

The Planner will develop job plans, estimates and schedules, ensure materials and safety requirements are addressed, and coordinate with supervisors, government personnel and contractors across Naval Station Mayport and allied facilities.

Qualifications

• Two years college or vocational training or five years related experience.
• Planning experience in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing/Pipefitting, Utility Systems, High Voltage Electricity, Carpentry or Painting.
• Knowledge of estimating and cost control.
• Knowledge of estimating with P&ID drawings.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel.
• Understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes and standards, estimating techniques, scheduling, project delivery and cost control.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
• US Citizenship required for facility credentials/authorization.

Responsibilities

• Develop job plans, deliverables and estimates for maintenance tasks.
• Ensure material and tools are available and safety requirements identified before work.
• Coordinate multi-craft work and sequencing of tasks.
• Work with supervisors, maintenance personnel, government and subcontractors on scheduled activities.
• Provide schedules and clear estimates to estimators for facilities projects.
• Review specifications, drawings and participate in pre-bid meetings.
