Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC seeks an experienced Electrical Systems Instructor to support SWESC at Great Lakes, IL. The role covers operation, curriculum updates, administration and safety for naval training and allied forces.

Responsibilities include classroom prep, equipment checks, maintenance recommendations, inventory control and reporting discrepancies through formal review processes. Active DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent or relevant military training.
• Graduate of Navy Instructor Training Course (CIN: A-012-0077) or equivalent instructor training.
• At least three years technical experience in the subject matter with two years in a Military Training Environment.
• Knowledge of learning principles, practices, and delivery of course content and assessment.
• Former Senior Surface Ship Engineer (E5–E9) with Tier I or Tier II qualifications as specified.

Responsibilities

• Classroom Preparation: set up classrooms, workstations and labs with materials.
• Operational Checks: verify equipment functionality and readiness.
• Equipment Maintenance: identify deficiencies and submit recommendations.
• Inventory Management: maintain instructional materials and forms.
• Reporting Discrepancies: document issues affecting teaching via formal review process.
