Job summary

SCMI1 has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated профессионал to fill one vacancy for DFS Support. The employee will function in accordance with the equivalent responsibilities of an Engineering Technician IV to provide critical technical assistance, engineering evaluations, and maintenance tracking for U.S. Navy surface ships and submarines.

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with background and applicable required job experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of shipboard HM&E experience.
• Proficiency in naval tracking metrics, technical writing, and validation procedures.
• Ability to read NSI's, NSTM's drawings and other technical docs.
• MS Office proficiency and navigation of Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual requirements.
• Clear and concise oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Review DFS requests for depot-level repairs and Fleet needs.
• Interface with Type Commander, Ship's Force, and Maintenance Team to review DFS.
• Process DFS requiring higher-level adjudication.
• Monitor DFS to ensure timely responses and updates.
• Provide regular status updates to Naval Supervisory Activity.
• Communicate DFS needs and report operational limitations for key events.
