Job summary

BB&E is seeking a Cost Engineer to provide cost engineering support for NAVFAC Southeast in Jacksonville, Florida. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and review of new construction, repair, and renovation projects for Navy and Marine Corps facilities.

This role supports mission-critical infrastructure efforts and requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, code-compliant designs that meet NAVFAC and DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain NACI/CAC eligibility.
• 10+ years of professional cost engineering experience (new construction and renovation).
• ABET or NAAB-accredited program leading to a bachelor’s or master’s in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering or architecture.
• Knowledge of DoD and Navy cost engineering criteria and policy.
• Capability to produce written analyses and present findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent cost engineering support for planning, design, construction and maintenance of Navy/Marine Corps facilities, MILCON and related projects.
• Participate in planning, budgeting, design, and construction of complex military projects.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders and other engineering/architectural disciplines to ensure proper system coordination.
