Job summary
RTX is seeking a talented Combat Systems Engineer II to join the Surface Radar team in Pascagoula, MS, supporting the US Navy. The role focuses on system installation, activation, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced naval radar systems aboard ships, with travel up to 30% for at-sea periods.
Responsibilities include installation, testing, reporting, and coordinating with Navy agencies and vendors; superficial fault isolation, maintaining records, and ensuring radar system functionality
Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with combat system operation and maintenance, including radar system installation, integration, and/or troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical member of the Shipboard Test Team and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Perform radar equipment installation, checkout, testing, and reporting of results; upgrade hardware and firmware.
- Ensure upkeep and functionality of the Ship’s radar systems.
- Provide daily status reports to area lead and stakeholders.
- Establish relationships with engineering and customer representatives.
- Provide underway system support for at-sea test events.
