Job summary

Glosten in the United States is seeking a hands-on engineer with experience in heavy civil construction, dredging, or salvage to join our Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering team. The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, project leadership, and applying hydrostatics, stability, and regulatory knowledge.

The ideal candidate will hold a Naval Architecture degree and a PE license (or be eligible) with strong communication and teamwork skills, and be prepared for some travel and

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years of experience in the maritime sector, consulting engineering, marine construction, or dredging industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture is preferred; other adjacent engineering degrees will be considered.
• Professional Engineering (PE) Licensure; eligible to take licensing exam in first year may be considered.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Rhino3D, GHS, and MS Office; FEMAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge of hydrostatics, stability, and structural analyses.
• Understand maritime regulatory guidance and submittal processes; field work and shipyard practices.
• Manage small to medium projects: client communications, leading teams, budgeting, scheduling, proposals.
• Appropriately resolve technical issues across naval architecture, marine engineering, and drafting.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and teammates.
