Job summary

Glosten, a naval architecture and marine engineering firm, seeks an experienced engineer with hands-on interest in heavy civil construction, dredging, and salvage. You will apply hydrostatics, stability, and structural analyses while leading engineering teams on multiple projects.

A PE license or eligibility, and US work authorization are required. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in maritime consulting, with AutoCAD, Rhino3D, GHS, and FEMAP experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in the maritime sector, consulting engineering, marine construction, or dredging industry.
  • PE Licensure; applicants without a PE may be eligible to take the exam in the first year.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Rhino3D, GHS, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with FEMAP or similar finite element software preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; TN visa eligibility considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manage small to medium-sized projects including client communications and leading engineering teams.
  • Assign tasks, manage scope and budget, schedule, and develop proposals.
  • Independently evaluate, select, and apply standards, techniques, procedures.
  • Contribute to resolution of technical issues beyond naval architecture disciplines.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
