Job summary

Glosten, a naval architecture and marine engineering firm, seeks an engineer with hands-on experience in heavy civil construction, dredging, crane engineering, or salvage. You will lead projects, coordinate with clients, and mentor junior staff in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Naval Architecture degree with PE licensure and are proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino3D, and FEMAP.

Qualifications

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in maritime sector, consulting engineering, marine construction, or dredging.
  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture; PE licensure preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Rhino3D, and FEMAP; strong communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; TN visa eligibility may be considered.
  • Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork (may require TWIC or passport).

Responsibilities

  • Apply hydrostatics, stability, and structural analyses.
  • Understand maritime regulatory guidance and submittal processes, ship checks, surveys, and shipyard practices.
  • Manage small to medium projects including client communications, leading engineering teams, budgeting, scheduling, and proposals.
  • Independently evaluate and apply standards and criteria; resolve diverse technical issues.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
