Job summary

State of Wyoming is seeking a Natural Resources Program Principal in the Storage Tank Program, located in Lander, WY. The role focuses on remediation project planning, engineering design approval, and coordinating construction and maintenance of remediation systems to clean up sites and inspect tanks.

The successful candidate will work with multiple agencies and reside within commuting distance to Lander. Essential duties include reviewing submittals, data analysis, and managing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in the sciences required.
• 1–2 years of progressive work experience in the sciences as Natural Resources Analyst.
• Or 4–6 years of progressive work experience with substitution.
• Ability to read, research, interpret and apply environmental laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Reviews consultant submittals and develops remedies for remediation.
• Analyzes complex environmental data for site characterization, risk assessment, and remedial alternatives.
• Answers technical questions related to policies, procedures, regulations, and statutes.
• Prepares new project site descriptions and participates on consultant selection committees.
• Oversees consultants' and contractors' activities for remediation projects to protect health and environment.
• Reviews and approves contractor field orders and change proposals.
• Coordinates with city, county, state, tribal and federal officials and stakeholders on technical matters.
