Job summary

Enbridge Inc. is seeking a field Operations role in Durham to install and maintain natural gas distribution lines. You will perform trenching, line pressure tests, line-location duties, and safety-focused tasks across a dynamic field environment.

The position requires completing HS diploma or GED, CDL preferred, and willingness to work overtime and be on-call. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to coordinate with crews and customers while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 6–12 months of related construction/utility experience.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving history is required.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is strongly preferred or obtainable within 12 months of employment.
• Ability to follow safety/environmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install natural gas pipe in ditches and test routes.
• Manually dig around utilities and pressure test lines.
• Repair third-party damage and locate gas lines.
• Perform pipe maintenance and install test charts.
• Set up safe DOT-approved work sites and manage traffic.
• Be available for overtime and emergency response within required times.
