Job summary

NorthStar Energy Solutions, LLC. is seeking a Skilled Laborer to support gas construction and maintenance operations, including installation, repair, and testing of natural gas mains and service lines.

You will work under crew leaders and foremen to ensure safe, code-compliant execution in Grand Prairie, TX. The role involves outdoor fieldwork, on-call availability, and overtime as needed, with opportunities to grow skills in pipe fusion, utility locating, and site safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of natural gas distribution systems and construction methods preferred.
• Ability to operate hand tools and light construction equipment safely.
• Willingness to travel locally and work overtime/on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of natural gas mains and service lines.
• Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, and site restoration per standards.
• Operate hand and power tools and light equipment used in gas construction.
• Assist with pipe fusion, joining, and tapping operations under supervision.
• Locate and protect underground utilities before and during excavation.
• Set up traffic control and maintain a safe work zone.
• Support pressure testing, purging, and leak surveys of gas piping systems.
