Job summary

United American Indian Involvement (UAII) in Los Angeles is seeking a Domestic Violence Program Coordinator to develop, coordinate, and implement culturally responsive prevention, advocacy, outreach, education, and training services for American Indian and Alaska Native individuals and families. The role supports trauma-informed care and collaborates with tribal representatives and courts.

The position requires coordination of services, intake, and referrals, with travel between the LA office

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in social work or related field.
  • Experience with American Indian/Alaska Native communities.
  • Knowledge of ICWA and child welfare court procedures.
  • Valid CA driver license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide peer support and mentorship to families involved in ICWA and DV/SA cases.
  • Assist clients in navigating social services, courts, and DV/SA proceedings.
  • Coordinate intake, referrals, and ensure documentation is accurate.
  • Attend court hearings as UAII representative and support survivor safety.
  • Develop trainings, participate in outreach, and collaborate with partners.
