Job summary

Chief Seattle Club in Seattle seeks a DV/SA Case Manager to provide culturally appropriate advocacy and support for Indigenous women, men, and the 2SLGBTQ+ community. The role emphasizes confidentiality, empathy and social justice perspectives within an on-site day center setting.

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and able to work independently, with a strong commitment to anti-violence work and equity for Native communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling/social work, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years case management experience; preferably in a non-profit setting.
• Must possess great oral and written skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of current policies, laws and rights in WA state, King County and surrounding tribal reservations around domestic violence victims.

Responsibilities

• Preliminary screening with community members to assess needs (housing, employment, education, etc.).
• Assist CSC with DV program creation, maintenance and development.
• Some outreach in Seattle area; meet community members at their locations.
• Collaborate with CSC housing dept. to achieve housing goals.
• Create trauma-informed care with safety planning and housing assistance.
• Build relationships with victim service providers, law enforcement, courts, and prosecutors to increase safety.
• Perform welfare visitation checks as needed (mileage reimbursement).
• Work flexible hours; overtime not typically required.
• Arrange transport for members to appointments, court dates, etc.
• Advocate for victims to obtain needed services or referrals.
• Assist referrals for medical treatment.
• Work with CSC staff to deliver support services.
• Conduct outreach to institutions and agencies; enroll and orient members.
