Job summary

Kennedy Jenks is seeking a National Water Treatment Technical Expert to lead municipal drinking water projects, optimize treatment processes, and grow national client relationships. You will advise on feasibility studies, basis of design reports, and pilot testing while guiding multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a PE license and 15+ years in drinking water engineering, with a hybrid work model and collaboration across national teams to deliver sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of drinking water treatment engineering experience.
• PE license required; license in multiple states preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Ability to develop client relationships and lead pursuits.
• Strong written and verbal communications for client-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for municipal drinking water treatment projects.
• Lead feasibility studies, process design, and pilot testing for water projects.
• Develop client relationships and secure new work for Kennedy Jenks’ national water treatment practice.
• Mentor junior and senior staff in water quality and treatment processes.
• Collaborate with Applied Research Group on research projects and process innovations.
• Support private-sector water treatment staff on industrial water quality initiatives.
