Job summary

Gilbane Development Company seeks a visionary Senior Vice President to lead its national senior housing development platform. The role drives strategy, underwrites opportunities, and oversees execution across active adult, independent living, assisted living, and memory care segments.

The executive will expand in key markets and build a high-performing team, aligning capital, design, construction, and operating partners to deliver high-quality communities nationwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of progressive real estate experience with substantial development, investment, and project execution.
• Minimum 10 years direct senior housing development experience including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Active Adult.
• Proven track record originating, capitalizing, and executing ground-up senior housing developments.
• Experience leading and mentoring real estate development teams across multiple markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a national growth strategy for Gilbane's senior housing platform.
• Lead sourcing, underwriting, entitlement, capitalization, and execution of opportunities nationwide.
• Oversee full development lifecycle from site selection to disposition or ownership.
• Build and lead a national development team and establish clear accountability and metrics.
