Job summary

Monarch Investment & Management Group is seeking a Traveling Maintenance Technician to join the National Traveling Crew based in Columbus, OH. You will support apartment communities nationwide, handling repairs, unit turns, and property improvements while traveling with a skilled team.

This role emphasizes hands-on work, problem-solving, and the ability to travel across the country, with a 2 weeks traveling schedule and flexible 50-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance experience in apartment or related field.
• Experience with drywall repair, painting, and carpentry.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Some experience with HVAC and water heaters preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to quality service.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders based on priority.
• Perform unit turns / make-ready preparation.
• Interior & exterior painting and staining.
• General maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall).
• Assist with renovations, capital projects, and major repairs.
• Support on-site maintenance teams.
• Complete special projects as needed.

Multifamily Housing | Pay: $24-27 per hour

Monarch Investment & Management Group is hiring aTraveling Maintenance Technician to join our National Traveling Crew based in Columbus, OH.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and traveling across the country. You’ll support apartment communities that need extra help—working with a skilled team to complete repairs, unit turns, and property improvements.

Travel Schedule

• 2 weeks traveling (out of state)
• 1 week off at home
• Assignments across 80,000+ units in 26 states

Compensation

• $24.00 – $27.00 per hour
• Consistent 50-hour work weeks (overtime available)
• $50/day per diem while traveling
• Annual raises up to 5%
