Job summary

Sevan Multi-Site Solutions seeks experienced Traveling Superintendents to lead field operations on commercial construction projects nationwide, directing safety, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and project execution from groundbreaking through closeout.

This on-site, travel-heavy role requires 90–100% travel and oversight of retail, restaurants, grocery, fuel/convenience, and federal ground-up builds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of construction experience with 3+ years as a Superintendent.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects and safety-focused leadership.
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain); First Aid/CPR (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all onsite construction activities and field operations.
• Direct subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to maintain productivity and progress.
• Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet key milestones.
• Develop and manage short-term look-ahead schedules aligned with the master project schedule.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and labor to maintain workflow.
• Identify potential issues early and implement solutions to avoid delays.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance.
• Conduct daily safety meetings, site inspections, and job hazard analysis.
• Ensure proper PPE use and maintain a strong safety culture onsite.
• Ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Perform regular jobsite walkthroughs and inspections.
• Coordinate required inspections, testing, and quality control procedures.
• Manage subcontractor performance, scope execution, and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate trades to prevent conflicts and maintain project flow.
• Address field issues and escalation discrepancies when necessary.
• Maintain daily reports including manpower, progress, weather, and safety updates.
• Communicate field updates and issues to the Project Manager.
• Assist with RFIs, change orders, and field directives as needed.
• Manage punch list completion and final inspections.
• Coordinate site demobilization and project turnover.
• Support delivery of as-builts, O&M manuals, and final documentation.
