Job summary

TUTTLE, a Dant Clayton Division, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple commercial construction projects from award through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality across nationwide sites.

This leadership role requires mentoring project engineers and assistants, maintaining strong client relationships, coordinating with subcontractors and design teams, and driving risk management, cost control, and continuous improvement while travel remains up to 70%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience within the construction industry.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project controls, cost management, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to travel nationally up to 70%, including occasional short-notice assignments.
• Reliable personal transportation and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, budget management, and project controls.
• Direct all phases of project delivery from handoff through closeout.
• Ensure adherence to contract requirements, schedules, quality standards, and company objectives.
• Coordinate activities between internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, engineers, and clients.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions for schedule, budget, or performance.
• Conduct routine site visits and in-person reviews to verify progress, quality, and safety.
• Mentor, coach, and develop project team members.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Support workforce development by helping team members expand their technical, leadership, and project management capabilities.
• Lead change order management, contract administration, and risk mitigation.
• Manage project billing, payment applications, retainage releases, back charges, and subcontractor negotiations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks impacting performance or profitability.
