Job summary

Komatsu US dealer network seeks a National Field Service Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on mining equipment across the United States. The role requires substantial travel, independence, and teamwork to ensure safety, reliability, and peak equipment performance.

You will work with field service teams, stay updated on industry standards, and support customers with professional service and problem-solving in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman trade / technical certification in electrical systems, welding or mechanical, or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
• Clean driving record.
• 5 years' experience in mining preferred but not required.
• Prior experience with VFDs, MCC, and high voltage.
• Proven experience in industrial electrical systems, especially in a field service capacity.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a focus on customer service.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex systems in the field.
• Install and configure electrical components and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Document service work and maintain accurate and timely reports on job status and completed tasks.
• Provide exceptional customer service, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to address complex problems and implement effective solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices to enhance personal and team performance.
