National Field Service Electrician - Mining Equipment

Job summary

Komatsu US dealer network seeks a National Field Service Electrician to install, service, and repair electrical systems on surface mining equipment across the United States. This role travels to diverse sites, performing diagnostics and repairs in the field to keep customers’ equipment safe and productive.

You’ll work with our Field Service team, apply your specialized electrical and welding/machining experience, and stay current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Journeyman trade / technical certification in electrical systems preferred
• Clean driving record
• 5 years' mining experience preferred but not required
• Experience with VFDs, MCC, and high voltage
• Proven experience in industrial electrical systems, especially field service
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with customer service
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs in the field
• Install and configure electrical components and systems per standards
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to improve performance
• Document service work and maintain timely reports
• Provide exceptional customer service and build client relationships
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to solve problems
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices
