The Weitz Company is hiring a Safety Manager to join our Industrial team. This role leads site safety on assigned projects, implements safety standards, and trains teams. You will travel nationally as needed; first project is in Oklahoma.

You will develop safety plans, conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting stop-work authority to protect workers. Weitz emphasizes a strong safety culture, comprehensive benefits, and career development

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Ability to lead site safety programs.
• Strong communication and training skills.

Responsabilités

• Participate in the creation of the project safety plan.
• Track and trend project safety performance and recommend corrective measures.
• Verify project team adherence to safety processes.
• Draft letters, issue safety violations, and meet with managers.
• Facilitate project safety committees.
• Conduct safety training and preconstruction safety planning.
• Coordinate and communicate site safety activities with the Project Manager.
• Support regulatory safety compliance audits (OSHA inspections).
• Maintain site safety documentation and incident investigations.
