Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a senior accounting methods professional to serve as a firmwide technical resource. You will lead complex research, interpret statutes and regulations, and provide practical recommendations to clients and practice teams.

You will collaborate with practice leaders, subject-matter experts, and engagement teams to translate complex tax concepts into clear guidance and develop training programs to enhance accounting method capabilities across the firm.

Qualifications

4-year degree and CPA or Law license/JD required.
14 years professional experience (as stated in minimum qualifications).
Experience with tax research, case law and familiarity with internal revenue code.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth technical research and analysis of complex accounting method matters.
Research and interpret statutes, regulations, guidance, case law, and other sources to develop positions and recommendations.
Monitor and evaluate new tax legislation, regulations, guidance, and judicial decisions affecting clients and the firm.
Serve as a national technical resource, collaborating with leaders and client-facing teams to guide on accounting method matters.
Develop and deliver technical training, webinars, and educational programs to share knowledge.
