Job summary

JGM is seeking an experienced Safety Manager with steel erection experience to support safety programs across fabrication shops and field sites nationwide, reporting to the Health & Safety Manager. The role involves audits, training, incident investigations, and developing site-specific safety plans.

Candidates should have hands-on safety experience in construction, ability to read drawings and regulations, and strong communication skills to collaborate with owners, regulators, and field

Qualifications

• Hands-on safety experience supporting steel erection operations.
• Ability to read and interpret regulations, safety plans, and construction drawings.
• Strong math skills, including calculations and interpretation of graphs/data.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety audits and inspections at fabrication shops and field sites.
• Audit subcontractors and prepare detailed safety reports.
• Lead safety training and new hire orientations.
• Investigate injuries, incidents, and near-miss events.
• Develop site-specific safety plans in accordance with OSHA, MSHA, EM-385, DOT, USACE, and EPA standards.
