Job summary

Weyerhaeuser in Seattle seeks a forward-thinking procurement leader to shape category strategies across Wood Products and Timberlands. You will drive multimillion-dollar MRO and related spend, draft contracts, negotiate savings, and monitor supplier performance.

You will mentor teams, collaborate with stakeholders nationwide, and manage demand, pricing, and risk. The role requires a Bachelor's in supply chain and 8+ years of procurement in heavy industry; SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, or related field with 8+ years procurement experience in heavy industry manufacturing.
5+ years in strategic sourcing managing multimillion-dollar categories spanning multiple facilities.
Proven ability to negotiate multimillion-dollar contracts and generate cost savings.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior leaders.

Responsibilities

Solicit RFx and conduct sourcing events.
Draft contracts aligned to procurement strategy and business requirements.
Negotiate and award contracts to generate savings and supplier support.
Establish performance expectations and monitor supplier performance.
Cost management: analyze costs, maintain pricing reports, and update SAP pricing.
Collaborate across Weyerhaeuser divisions to generate synergies.
Manage contract lifecycle including renewals and amendments.
Identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
Plan and develop category strategies with long-term perspectives.
Provide training on procurement processes and metrics.
