Job summary

Peraton is seeking a mid-level System Engineer to join our NGA/NSG/ASG modernization efforts onsite in Springfield, VA. You will apply multi-discipline requirements engineering, solutions engineering, and testing to ensure timely mission support for national security programs.

Ideal candidates have a technical STEM degree or substantial system engineering experience, and must be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance. The role offers a competitive salary range and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related STEM field, or 6+ years of System Engineer experience.
• 6+ years of work experience in government or industry with DoD/IC processes or system engineering.
• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.

Responsibilities

• Assesses IT change requests against current enterprise capabilities, policy and strategy.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to identify and document IT functional requirements to inform solution cost estimating and implementation by the service provider.
• Conducts planning, analysis and traceability of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems or workflows.
• Assists in the translation of customer needs into derived systems/capability requirements.
• Assists in performing user acceptance testing for corporate applications or services.
• Assists the Government in performing systems implementation activities.
• Assists with Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (COAs), and Engineering Assessments.
• Assists the Government in managing customer capability change requests (CRQ), related requirements documentation and activities within a centralized portal/database.
