Job summary

RDR, Inc. seeks an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to serve as a trusted cyber security advisor for government customers in Chantilly, VA.

You will architect, assess, and strengthen enterprise security solutions, leading RMF efforts and ensuring compliance across complex environments. You will partner with government stakeholders, engineers, and program teams to integrate security into system designs, review accreditation documents, and guide A&A processes.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required.
• Bachelor's in STEM or an advanced IA certification.
• DoD 8570-compliant IAT or IAM certification.
• Experience in security systems engineering across LAN/WAN.
• Experience with RMF and NIST 800-53.
• Knowledge of NIST guidance, DISA STIGs, USCYBERCOM requirements.
• Experience developing and reviewing accreditation docs.
• Experience with system hardening and vulnerability management.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security architectures.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert cyber security guidance to government customers.
• Lead security requirements analysis across the system lifecycle.
• Participate in architecture reviews, assessments, and testing for compliance.
• Collaborate with admins, developers, and program stakeholders on security integration.
• Identify and mitigate risks via RMF controls and best practices.
• Assess new hardware/software for security and operational impact.
• Review SSPs, SRTMs, and related cybersecurity docs.
• Guide A&A activities for successful accreditation.
• Serve as SME on cybersecurity policies, standards, and regs.
