Job summary

Base-2 Solutions, LLC in Maryland is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to safeguard systems supporting national defense and mission-critical operations. You will design secure architectures, perform risk and vulnerability assessments, and develop RMF artifacts.

The role requires experience with NIST SP 800-53, DoD STIGs, SSP/SAR development, and cloud security across AWS/Azure/GCP, with strong collaboration across engineering teams and interaction with government customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with RMF and NIST SP 800-53.
• Proficient with DoD STIGs and ICD 503.
• Ability to develop SSPs and SARs and manage RMF artifacts.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Security testing and incident response experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements security solutions for complex systems.
• Conducts risk and vulnerability assessments and mitigations.
• Develops SSPs, SARs, and RMF documentation.
• Collaborates with architects and engineers to embed security.
• Performs continuous monitoring per NIST 800-53.
• Engages in security testing, assessment, and C&A activities.
• Interacts with government customers to communicate security strategies.
